🌞 The Ant and the Grasshopper, A Classic Fable by Aesop
🐜 One summer’s day, a hardworking Ant was busily collecting food. From morning till evening, he carried grains of wheat and stored them carefully in his nest for the cold winter ahead.
🎻 Meanwhile, a carefree Grasshopper sat nearby in the sun, playing his violin and singing joyfully.
“Why are you working so hard, my friend?” the Grasshopper asked. “Come, relax with me! It’s such a beautiful day.”
🍂 The Ant replied,
“I’m saving food for the winter. You should do the same while you still can. When the cold comes, there will be nothing left to eat.”
🎶 The Grasshopper laughed and said,
“Winter is far away! Let’s enjoy the moment!”
❄️ Then winter arrived.
The ground was frozen and covered in snow. The Grasshopper, who had sung all summer, found himself without food or shelter. Shivering and hungry, he wandered through the cold, looking for something to eat.
🏠 Finally, he came to the Ant’s nest and knocked on the door.
“Dear Ant, I’m starving. Could you please share some food with me?”
💬 The Ant looked at him and said,
“All summer long I warned you, but you chose to sing instead of preparing. I’m sorry, but I can’t help you now.”
📚 Moral of the story:
"It is best to prepare for the days of necessity."
